Lillias Easton, daughter of John Eastoun of Couston, Bathgate

Lillias Eastoun married Alexander Munro, 1st of Bearcrofts (1629-1704).  Bearcrofts is nearGrangemouth. Alexander was a soldier, advocate and parliamentarian. One of their sons was John Munro or Monro (1670-1740). John was a surgeon who played a major role in establishing the Medical School of the University of Edinburgh. His son Alexander primus (1697-1767) was the first Professor of Anatomy. He was appointed on 29^th January, 1720. John’s grandson Alexander secundus (1733-1817) was the second Professor of Anatomy and his great grandson Alexander tertius (1773-1859) was the third Professor of Anatomy.
